2.1.11. System of ignition

System of ignition of classical type, battery. Turns on the distributor, the coil, candles, the power supply, wires of high and low voltage.

From 1978 model years on the 230E and 280E models the contactless system of ignition of TSZ with correction of a corner of an advancing of ignition vacuum and centrifugal ignition sensor distributor regulators was installed. The sensor is given to rotation by an intermediate shaft.

Rechargeable battery

The rechargeable battery is in a forward left part of a motor compartment. The minus plug of the rechargeable battery is connected to a car body.
