2.2. Adjustment of the engine


Check and adjustment of gaps in the mechanism of the drive of valves on engines M 102.920 and M 102.939

Removal of the power unit is made from above the car.



 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the air filter.
  2. Disconnect a steam discharge hose of the cooling system from a cover of a head of cylinders.
  3. Disconnect a hose of ventilation of a case from a cover of a head of cylinders.
  4. Uncover the sensor distributor of ignition and disconnect wires from spark plugs.
  5. Uncover a head of cylinders together with a bunch of wires of ignition and a cover of the sensor distributor of ignition.
  6. Turn out spark plugs.
  7. Turning a bent shaft clockwise a key for a bolt of fastening of a pulley, put the camshaft in position at which the cams corresponding to one of cylinders will be sent to the party, opposite to yokes.
  8. Check a gap the flat probe at both valves between an end face of the spherical adjusting screw and a core of the valve. At the same time be convinced of the correct position of the adjusting screw in relation to a valve core.

    Gaps in the mechanism of the drive of valves, mm: the normal gap between an end face of the adjusting screw and a core of the valve measured by the probe makes on the cold engine for inlet valves 0,15 mm and for final valves of 0,20 mm, and on the hot engine respectively 0,30 and 0,35 mm.

  9. At an aberration adjust a gap turn of the adjusting screw, having weakened a lock-nut.
  10. After adjustment tighten a lock-nut and check a gap then adjust a gap at other valves in an operating procedure of cylinders (1 — 3 — 4 — 2).
  11. After adjustment establish into place a cover of a head of cylinders, previously having checked a condition of laying. Screw spark plugs, attach a bunch of wires of ignition, establish a cover of the sensor distributor of ignition and the air filter, attach hoses.
