Removal of a head of cylinders

If the engine is not removed from the car yet, at first perform the following operations:

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Disconnect a wire of "weight" from the rechargeable battery.
  2. Remove inlet and final collectors.
  3. Remove the compressor of the air conditioning system where it is available.
  4. Remove the distributor of ignition, wire of high voltage and a spark plug.
  5. Remove a hydraulic pump of the automatic control system of level of a back suspension bracket where it is available.
  6. Disconnect all wires and hoses and merge liquid from the cooling system.
  7. Pick up the phone of the probe of the index of level of oil where it is available.

Shooters specified small bolts of a head of cylinders in an aperture of a distributive chain (engine M 123)


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Turn off nuts and remove a valvate cover.
  2. Weaken collars and remove perepuskny a hose between the water pump and the case of the thermostat. Remove the thermostat case.
  3. On cars with automatic transmission remove a rack between the right engine mount and a head of cylinders.
  4. Rotate a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft until both valves in the 1st cylinder are not closed, and VMT tag on a damper of tortional fluctuations will not be combined with an arrow for installation of the moments of ignition.
  5. Make tags of relative provisions of a chain and an asterisk of the camshaft.
  6. Turn off a stopper of a natyazhitel of a chain and remove a spring. Then turn off nuts and take the case of a natyazhitel together with a plunger.
  7. Turn off a camshaft asterisk bolt, having blocked asterisks by means of the metal core passed in one of openings.
  8. Remove an asterisk, remove it from a chain and tie to one party. Keep in mind that tags on an asterisk are on its external face.
  9. Turn off bolts and pick up the ventilating phone going from the water pump to a head of cylinders.
  10. Turn off bolts of a head of cylinders in the sequence, return that that it is shown in the drawing, by means of an internal six-sided face key. Do not forget about two bolts in a camshaft tunnel. Keep in mind that longer bolts are on camshaft support.
  11. Ask the assistant to raise a chain and to hold its guide inside, and remove a head of cylinders from the block. If it does not give in, knock on it with the wooden hammer. Do not insert the lever into the socket for laying not to damage the interfaced surfaces. Put a head of cylinders on wooden supports not to damage valves.
  12. Remove laying of a head of cylinders from the block.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. Remove the vacuum pump (where it is provided by a design).
  2. By means of six-sided internal face keys turn off bolts and remove forward covers of the camshaft.
  3. Turn off oil return tube bolts.
  4. Weaken collars and remove perepuskny the hose going from the water pump to the thermostat case. Remove the case.
  5. Turn off nuts and remove a valvate cover.
  6. Separate springs from pushers of cams by means of the screw-driver.
  7. Rotate a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft until tops of ledges of cams in the 1st cylinder reach the top position, then lower valves of levers so that to take out pushers of cams. Note provisions of pushers. Repeat this operation on other valves.
  8. Rotate a bolt of a pulley of a bent shaft until tops of ledges of cams in the 1st cylinder reach the top position and VMT tag on a damper of fluctuations is not combined with the index of phases of gas distribution. Track that tags on an asterisk of the camshaft were combined with tags on its case.
  9. Turn off bolts of asterisks of the camshaft, having blocked asterisks by means of the metal bar passed in one of openings.
  10. Remove a radiator. This operation is desirable as it will release space for work.
  11. By means of a six-sided internal face key turn off a cap of a natyazhitel of a chain and weaken an internal stopper approximately on two turns. Turn off an external ring and remove a natyazhitel. If he jams, turn off an internal stopper and screw a bolt for removal of knot.
  12. Beat out the hammer pins and take out the top directing core from the camshaft case.
  13. Shift camshafts completely back, remove pro-rates and a chain from asterisks and tie a chain to one party.
  14. Turn off a cover stopper, take out a basic pin and remove the directing chain asterisk.
  15. Beat out the hammer pins and remove the side directing core from a head of cylinders.
  16. Turn off bolts of fastening of a head of cylinders in the sequence, return that that it is shown in the drawing, by means of a six-sided internal face key. Do not forget about two bolts in a chain aperture.
  17. Ask the assistant to lift a chain and you hold the right guide of a chain inside, then remove a head of cylinders from the block. If she jams, release her, tapping with the wooden hammer. Do not insert levers into the socket for laying not to damage the interfaced surfaces. Put a head of cylinders on wooden supports not to damage valves.
  18. Remove laying of a head of cylinders from the block.
