Removal of the camshaft


Engine M 123

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the engine is not removed from the car yet, it is not necessary to remove a head of cylinders though the camshaft asterisk all the same should be removed. At first remove springs from pushers of cams and the lever lower serially each valve so that to take out a cam pusher, turning a bent shaft of the engine that the top of a ledge of cams was directed up.
  2. Remove a persistent washer from the forward end of the camshaft.
  3. By means of a six-sided internal face key turn off a bolt and remove support of bearings together with shaft, and also an oil tube from a head of cylinders. If it is necessary, release support the wooden hammer.
  4. Take the camshaft, having shifted it from support back and if it is necessary, turn off bolts of an oil tube.

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

  1. If the engine is not removed from the car yet, the head of cylinders does not need to be removed, but pushers of cams and an asterisk need to be removed. If it is necessary to remove only the right camshaft, it is possible to leave the left mechanism of the drive of cams on a forward part of the camshaft.
  2. Turn off bolts of fastening of the case of the camshaft and a head of cylinders in the sequence, return that that it is shown in the drawing, and remove the case from a head of cylinders. Do not turn out seven bolts designated by shooters.
  3. Turn out bolts of back covers from the case.
  4. Remove persistent washers from a forward part of camshafts.
  5. Take out camshafts from the case.
  6. Take out bearings from a forward part of the case.
